Sex Ed w/ Alyssa Robbins – Ep. 27

It’s our first guest who has a movie based on her life! Alyssa Robbins is a Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter and the inspiration behind the movie Becks. We are thrilled that she joined us to talk about her side gig teaching sex education to adolescents. Listen and learn how far we’ve come from putting condoms on bananas! We make a pretty solid case for the importance of comprehensive sex education in schools, and also get Alyssa’s insight on what to do if you have a kid who masturbates way too much. Later on in the episode, we dyke out about our favorite LGBTQ movies and try to make “spreadin’ the jam” a thing. Plus, if you’re in New York City on March 17, 2018, be sure to come out to see Alyssa in concert at Pete’s Candy Store in Brooklyn at 9pm.

Straight Women w/ Kaitlin Fontana – Ep. 21

Fresh off of her directorial debut at Sundance, writer/director/comedian/badass Kaitlin Fontana (The Box, A&E’s Black & White, Franchesca) joins us to let us know once and for all, what is the deal with straight women? Okay, maybe not once and for all because we barely scratched the surface of what it’s like for our straight allies out there drowning in a sea of dangerous dick. We ask Kaitlin what’s it like to have to play the role of girlfriend AND mother, and more importantly, what are men actually good for? The answers may just turn you straight! LOL JK. Kaitlin also enchants us with tales of polyamory and trying to find a sugar daddy. Tune in!

Strippers w/ Amber Rollo – Ep. 19

How much do you know about women who strip? Before this episode, we knew at least one thing: many of them date other women. But what’s it really like to be the subject of the male gaze for pay? Stand up comedian and podcaster Amber Rollo dykes out with us about her former gig as a stripper (we learned that exotic dancer is NOT the preferred term). Needless to say, this episode is quite revealing! We also talk about the Golden Globes, dead lesbians, and the newly minted #MineToo movement that we’re hoping will gain traction.

Sexuality and the South w/ Jourdain Searles – Ep. 18

Happy New Year! We’re back with an episode recorded in late 2017 but still very relevant. Many places in the South value tradition and religion, which means the region know for its hospitality is not so hospitable to the LGBTQ community. We’re joined by Augusta, Georgia native and comedian Jourdain Searles, and she dykes out about what it was like growing up as a queer black woman two hours outside of the more gay-friendly city of Atlanta. We also talk about Carolyn’s ongoing love/hate relationship with moviepass and how lesbian programming is the original Hallmark movie.

Hats w/ Alex Song – Ep. 16

Alex Song (NBC’s Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, HBO’s Night of Too Many Stars, UCB) stops by to dyke out about the complicated relationship between lesbians and hats. Like a moth to a flame, our kind has been drawn to various hat styles. But what do a lesbian’s hat say about her? What if you don’t look good in hats, or like in Sarah’s case, your head is too damn big? What if feel the need to buy them but lack the confidence to wear them? You’ll find out all of this and more in our new segment ‘What the hat?!” We also discuss Moviepass and all the great movies out now. Plus, Carolyn reveals her #2 crush.
